Scheduled publishing across time zones

Pick the exact moment a page goes live, wherever your readers are. How scheduling works in ATLAS and how to send the right time.

A launch at 09:00 in Jakarta is 02:00 in London and 21:00 the day before in New York. ATLAS stores every schedule as an exact moment in time, so the page goes live once, at the right instant, for everyone.

Schedule from the dashboard

  1. Open the entry and save your draft.
  2. Choose Schedule and pick the date and time.
  3. Confirm. The entry shows its scheduled time until it goes live, and you can cancel the schedule at any point before that.

Scheduling changes live output, so it needs the publisher role or higher. Editors can prepare the draft and ask for a review.

Schedule through the API

POST /v1/manage/entries/{entry}/schedule takes an at date that must be in the future. Send it in ISO 8601 with an offset, so there is no doubt which time zone you mean:

{ "at": "2026-11-01T09:00:00+07:00" }

DELETE /v1/manage/entries/{entry}/schedule cancels it. Pass revision_id to pin the revision you reviewed: if someone saves a newer draft before you schedule, the API answers 409 revision_changed instead of quietly publishing something you did not check.

What happens at that moment

The scheduler checks every minute and publishes due entries through the normal publish path: a new live revision, an audit row and a purge webhook so your site shows the page straight away.
